Hi ..
Did you upgrade yet? If you haven't heard, facebook business pages are getting some capabilities that lots of people have been waiting for! If you are a business owner you will really like the changes ... at least that is my prediction. Here are a few of the highlights:
- Now you can LIKE other pages and leave postings on other pages as a business! It's optional, via settings, but something I believe many of you will want. There is still a personal touch available as page administrator profile images are shown at the top right hand corner of the page. A simple click will take you to their personal accounts.
x
- Another plus is that you can target post - per country, state, city and even language!
c - You will be notified via email when a posting is left on your business page. This will be the same as you've been experiencing on your personal page. One addition - you can block profanity! Not that "you" would get such a posting, but good to know!
x - You can choose via settings if first time visitors see only the page postings or all the postings. People who LIKE your page get the same options!
Take a look at a complete listing on my weekly mailing ....click here Take a look and tell me if you like these changes? What is your favorite? What don't you like? Would love to know ....

Right now the upgrade is optional. You can preview and then go ahead and upgrade if you want ... however, once you do upgrade there is no going back. On March 10th everyone's business pages will receive this upgrade. I'd get myself ready now!!! Call with questions!

Join my weekly mailing list!
Hello to all ..
Just did a mailing all about the facebook's new LIKE button! I like it .. what about you?
x
Need to find a moment or two to add it to my pages but if your website gets visitors and traffic it is the way to go for sure.
x
Basically you can have people "LIKE" your business page the very same way you did it before when the pages were FAN pages. BUT now in addition, there are plugins that you can put on your website pages, blog, articles that you write, etc. The plugins allow your webpages to operate like a facebook business page without being one. Visitors can share them, recommend them, and what I like the most is visitors can write a comment that will go their live feeds ...i.e. taking your webpage to live feeds that stretch way beyond your own. How much visibility is that????
x
If you are not on my mailing list you may want to join. I go over all in easy to understand detail .. http://www.todaysway.net/weekly/gardengrowingmay242010_facebook.htm PLUS ..my weekly special is a 90 minute facebook training and coaching session for $60 to the first 4 callers! Can't beat that!
x
If you already know about the plugins, please share with me what your thoughts might be about the LIKE button. Would love to hear from outsiders just what you think facebook is up to!!

Hello all,
So what do you think of the new facebook page? Do you like it? Wish it had never happened?
x
Personally I don't mind it that much. I like the Live Feed but what drives me crazy is that the News Feed ( which I have no use for) seems to always come up by default when you log in or return to your account after a bit of time. DO NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL!
x
Otherwise I like the new suggestions on the right side where you can reconnect with someone you haven't interacted with for a while. Also like the suggesting of friends for new friends or friends who simply do not have many friends ( on facebook :-) )
x
What do you "really" think? Let it all out!!!

Hi all... Well, facebook is finally letting us use our names in our page URL to make it easier for people to find us! However some people do not like this!
Some people simply do not like change. Are you one of these? They say people can search in the search window for them by name .. why do they need it in the URL? They are content just the way it is! If it isn't broken why fix it?
Others are past My Space users and liked Facebook cause of its differences from My Space. Using our names, they say, is making it be like My Space. Any former My Space users out there that feel this way?
Personally I am just worried that my name will get taken before I get it. Or worse ... that I mis- spell what I submit and then I'll be stuck with it! No one will find me! Other than that I'm cool!
What do you think? Let me know!

Hi all, Welcome to my weekly mailing readers who are joining us here.
Facebooks ads are quite interesting, aren't they! Has anyone given them a try? You will not find a more targeted way to market. You can define your outgoing and snail mail by targeted demographics but these are usually people you have already identified. If you are using email you "must" only communicate with those you already know.
Facebook allows you to target the exisitng Facebook demographics within the "entire" Facebook membership, not just your networks. You may target geography, age, sex, keywords, education, workplace, relationship status, even language! It really does hold true possibilities.
A client of mine, new to facebook, is a photographer. He had experienced seeing ads for some of the major players in his field appear "only" when he was on his photo gallery pages and when he would be thinking about such services! Choice of keywords made that happen. I really don't know in the world of the small business person where else you would have that happen. Does anyone have input on that?
Please share your experiences with us ... not just with Facebook Ads but pay per click on Search Engines as well! I welcome your comments.
Hello ..
So do you have a Facebook Business PAGE? If so .... why or why not?
I really want to know your thoughts. What have you discovered, what do you like, what don't you like? I am offering three complementary trainings on it next week. What do you think I should make sure I include as extra tips?
Tell me! I am anxious to receive your input and know what you like. This blog posting is an open forum so we can all share our thoughts and discoveries.. It is a competitive must to be on facebook today and I hope to help us all use it wisely!
Personally I like the new Facebook page for businesses. I am talking to all my clients that fit its calling to create a business page, especiallly if they rely upon local traffic. The price is right ...why not try it out!
I'm waiting for your input... thanks so much!
Keep your garden growing!!
